CineFile Video was founded in 1999. Since that time it has seen many ups and downs, but it has never wavered from its mission to collect, curate and rent rare and excellent films in all genres. In 2013, when the shop was on the brink of closure, Sebastian Mathews, owner of Touch Vinyl record shop in West LA, purchased CineFile in the hopes of keeping it open for the sake of Analog Alley and its loyal, brilliant community... 

With the advent of the $30 monthly membership, a new focus on exemplary customer service, and partnerships with companies like Vinegar Syndrome, Shout! Factory and The Criterion Collection, CineFile continues to stock important new films and maintain its massive library.
